Orlando, FL (September 11, 2018) – Hugo Calvillo took a break from selling real estate when the market crashed in 2008. He let his previous franchise go and chose to concentrate his entrepreneurial efforts elsewhere. With the market steadily climbing back in recent years, Hugo wanted to return to brokering. After studying a few franchise options, Hugo opted to open a Help-U-Sell Real Estate office, located in Orlando, and serving the Space Coast region and surrounding counties.

Mr. Calvillo got his start in 2005, procuring his license and working with a traditional, commission-based real estate company. While grateful for the industry knowledge gained, he thought the experience could be different and wanted to be on his own. “I invest in distressed houses, so it made sense to be my own broker for those houses, too,” Hugo said. “So I became a broker and opened a set-fee style office. I just couldn’t keep it when the market fell.” However, when he was ready to come back to real estate, Hugo chose differently this time around after doing his research.

“I looked at all options. Help-U-Sell has a more visible national brand, and they are well established in Florida already. The websites are newer and more modern looking. The model for set-fee home sales made sense to me. It was just a really good fit for what I wanted to do,” Hugo shared. His plans for his first year of business includes a goal of 30 listings. “My office will have three or four staff members making calls and getting listings, so I’m already part way there. I’ve noticed an increase of equity sellers in my area, and that was part of the push for me to get back into being a broker. Down the road, as I expand, I will concentrate on buyers.”
